From Apprentice to Mentor: Celebrating Women in Leadership through KPWKM PERANTIS

Seeing a mentee step into their own power and become a mentor is the absolute best part of leadership.

Last year, Kathy was an apprentice under the KPWKM PERANTIS (Program Perantisan Kepimpinan Wanita) initiative, soaking up knowledge and pushing boundaries. Fast forward to this year, and she is officially stepping into the role of mentor herself—ready to lift up, guide, and inspire the next wave of women leaders coming behind her.

This is what the true ripple effect of empowering women looks like in real time. When KPWKM and initiatives like PERANTIS invest in one woman, they pave the way for many more to follow.

Empowering Sarawak's Digital Economy: Syarikat Tajau Berseri at IDECS26 & SE HEBAT Catalyst Demo Day

Syarikat Tajau Berseri was proud to be part of the landmark International Digital Economy Conference Sarawak (IDECS 2026) held at BCCK, showcasing our commitment to grassroots digital enablement, enterprise data analytics, and inclusive workforce training.

A key highlight was the SE HEBAT Catalyst Cohort 2 Pitching Session, which featured 10 social enterprises from across Sarawak presenting their business solutions, impact achievements, and growth plans to investors, industry partners, government agencies, and ecosystem stakeholders. As the culmination of a rigorous six-month accelerator programme organized by the Sarawak Digital Economy Corporation (SDEC) in collaboration with Biji-biji Initiative and Me.reka, the session provided an impactful platform to showcase readiness for scale, build strategic connections, and explore long-term partnerships.

During the pitch, our founder Ts. Diana Ho highlighted Tajau Berseri's scalable pricing model and accessible solutions—including the TLEN LMS & Business Tracking App, curated enterprise SaaS training packages, and practical consulting designed to support MSMEs and local organizations.

Road Safety Audit: Practical Insights into Safer Road Design and Common Safety Issues

KSC Highlights Miri's Potential as Gateway for Sarawak-Brunei Investment

Kenyalang Smart City (KSC) is being positioned to strengthen Miri's role as a strategic gateway for investment between Sarawak and Brunei Darussalam, with its location near the Sarawak-Brunei border seen as a key advantage for cross-border economic cooperation under the BIMP-EAGA framework.

The potential was highlighted during a visit by around 45 delegates from a BIMP-EAGA reciprocal trade mission to the KSC development site, ahead of Sarawak's official trade mission to Brunei Darussalam. The mission, running until August 1, brings together delegates from both sides for business networking sessions, business matching, technical visits, meetings with government agencies, and investment discussions. Delegates were also briefed on KSC's development vision and toured the Kenyalang Convention and Exhibition Centre One (KCEC One).
